Uno Attack Mega Hit is the latest 2023 version of Uno Attack and differs quite significantly from its predecessor to warrant a separate page of its own. In this version, there are new cards, a redesigned card launcher, and new rules. The main rule change or rather addition, is the Mega Hit rule, which enables card stacking. If you like your Uno with fast paced action yet with an unpredictable twist to it, this game is for you. Let’s take a look at the Uno Attack Mega Hit rules below!
Objective: Still the same as all other Uno games, get rid of all your cards before others, and score 500 points (or however many points you want).
The Launcher: Each box comes with 112 cards and a card launcher that requires 3 size C alkaline batteries to operate. So make sure you’ve inserted those batteries before you start your game (the battery compartment requires a suitable screwdriver to open it). The launcher is designed to eject cards out in an unpredictable manner once the launch button is pressed. Sometimes it will shoot cards; sometimes it won’t.
If there is no activity for 5 minutes, the launcher will go to sleep. To wake it up, press the launch button once.

Gameplay: Up to 10 players may take part in a game at any given time. First things first, select a dealer (you could have everyone pick a card from the deck and the highest number becomes dealer) who deals out 7 cards to each player.
Now take a card out from the remaining deck and place it on the center of the playing area. This is the Discard pile. The remainder cards go into the launcher to form the Draw pile, except nobody will be drawing from it; rather the launcher shoots out a random number for each player who needs to draw (the launcher should face the active player on each turn).

Now turn on the switch at the bottom of the launcher to ON facing the first player who is to the dealer’s left, and the game begins in a clockwise direction. On the active player’s turn, they have to match the top card on the Discard pile by number/color/symbol. But if there is no matching card in hand or if you choose not to put down any card even if you have playable cards, it’s time to press the launcher button – whatever cards shoot out, goes into your hand and your turn is over. Pressing the launcher button ends your turn even if you changed your mind and wanted to play a playable card.
The moment a player is down to their last card, they have to inform everyone by yelling out loud, “Uno”! If you forget this step, and someone catches you before the next player has taken their turn, you must press the launcher button twice! Now that would certainly be a case of “So near, and yet so far“.
Action Cards

Uno Attack Mega Hit Action cards. Top row, left to right: Reverse, Skip, and Discard All. Bottom row, left to right: Hit 2, Hit 1, Wild, and Wild Attack-Attack.
Reverse – Reverses the current direction of gameplay, from clockwise to anti clockwise, and vice versa. It can only be played on another matching color card, or Reverse card of any color. If this is the first card turned up to start the game, the dealer will go first followed by the player to their right. In a 2-player game, it acts like a Skip and you get another turn.
Skip – When played, this card skips the next player’s turn. In 2-player games, you get another turn when you play it. You can only play it on another card of the same color, or another Skip of any color. If this is the first card turned up to start a game, the first player is skipped and the next one goes instead.
Wild card – You can play this on any color, because it can represent any color. After you play it, call out the color for the next players to follow. If this is the first card turned up at game start, the first player gets to choose the color to continue play.
Hit 1 card – When you play it, the next player must turn the launcher on themselves and press it once. They then collect the cards that come out, and their turn ends. Play continues with the next player. If this is the first card turned up at game start, the first player hits the launcher, collects the cards that shoot out, and misses their turn.
Hit 2 card – When you play it, the next player must hit the launcher twice, collect the cards that shoot out, and miss their turn. If turned up at game start, the first player needs to hit the launcher twice and skip their turn.
Discard All card – Playing this card allows you to discard all the cards of a single color in your hand that belongs to the color of the Discard All. You can only play it on another matching color card on the Discard pile. If this is the first card turned up at game start, the first player has to discard all the colors matching that Discard All card OR press the launcher button.
Wild Attack-Attack card – Playing this card allows you to call out any color you want, and then choose any player to press the launcher twice. This player loses their turn, and then play resumes with the next player in the move order after the attacked one. If this is the first card turned up at game start, the first player gets to launch the fun.
The Mega Hit Rule
The Mega Hit rule is a relatively new rule that allows the stacking of attack cards in various Uno versions, including Uno Attack. How does it work? It goes like this:
If someone plays a Hit card against you (Hit 1, Hit 2, or Wild Attack-Attack), you can escape by stacking any Hit card on top—no matter the color. That means: You skip the hit yourself and the next player in move order must now take both hits. But it doesn’t have to stop there, because the next player can stack their Hit card on top—piling up even more hits for the next player.
This continues until someone can’t stack a Hit card any more. That unlucky person must now press the launcher button once for every hit in the stack!
Example: Player 1 plays a Hit 1, player 2 stacks a Hit 2. Player 3 stacks a Wild Attack-Attack and now the total number of hits is 5 hits (Hit 1 + Hit 2 + Wild Attack-Attack = 5 hits). Since Wild Attack-Attack can target anyone, player 2 is chosen. Now player 2 can’t stack any more cards, and thus player 2 must hit the launcher 5 times!
If the first card played is a Wild Attack-Attack, the targeted player can respond with any Hit card. After the Mega Hit stack is resolved, play resumes from the original/first attacker.
Winning and Scoring
Winning Uno Attack is simple. Be the first to get rid of all your cards before the others do, and score 500 points, although you can set a higher or lower figure yourself. The scoring system used is to tally up all the cards left in the other’s hands (once someone has won the round), as below:
- Numbers 1–9: Face value
- Reverse / Skip /Hit 1: 20 points each
- Discard All: 30 points each
- Hit 2: 40 points each
- Wild / Wild Attack-Attack (all the Wild cards): 50 points each

2 Player Mode and Alternative Way to Win
If only two people are playing, just keep in mind a couple of things. Firstly, both Skip and Reverse function the same way; the one that plays it gets a free turn. Anybody that plays a Hit or Attack card of any sort also gets a free turn, unless the attacked player can respond with a stack of their own!
An alternate way of winning is to eliminate anyone who reaches 500 points by keeping a running tally on all the players participating. One by one, all the players would be eliminated, until only 2 are left. When only two players remain, they go head to head against one another, and the one who prevails is the winner.
